A Wellington XV side meets a Taranaki Bulls squad at Cooks Gardens in Whanganui on Friday afternoon in a National Provincial Championship pre-season fixture.
Kick-off is 2.05pm in the river city. Taranaki rugby are live-streaming the match, with commentary.
The Wellington team will be playing a separate XV in each half, with lock-flanker Caleb Delany the only player playing both halves.
The match thus won’t have first-class status.
The naming of the Wellington Lions squad for the upcoming NPC is imminent. Their first NPC competition match is against the Northland Taniwha at Wellington on Saturday 7 August.
It is unclear if the players who’s clubs are still involved in the Jubilee and Hardham Cups will be suiting up for their clubs in the semi-finals on Saturday. We will find out when teamlists are named on Friday morning.
