Wellington Provincial Sevens rugby on Saturday

All roads lead to Porirua on Saturday, with the second annual running of the Wellington Provincial Sevens tournament at Jerry Collins Stadium.

This is a warm-up tournament to next weekend’s Central Region 7s tournament at Levin, which is the qualifier for the National tournament a fortnight later in Tauranga.

At last year’s inaugural PU Sevens tournament at Rongotai College, Wellington Gold took home the spoils with a 21-17 win over Manawatu in the final. Canterbury defeated Hawke’s Bay 26-19 in the playoff for third.
