Matchday Scoring Highlights: Old Boys University (50) v Avalon (5)

The two teams met in round seven of the Premier Swindale Shield competition at Fraser Park.

The run of play saw Avalon take the attack to OBU in the first half and they scored first to go up 5-0 after 25 minutes, a lead that could have been more but for a couple of missed opportunities.

OBU got on the board in the run-up to halftime and then ran clear in the second half in an eight tries to one win. Avalon had two players spend time in the sin-bin, while OBU clicked into life and also brought plenty of experience off the bench in veteran players like Tomasi Palu and Te Wehi Wright.

Of note, the earlier match had the exact opposite result, with the Avalon Premier Reserves beating the OBU Premier Reserves 50-5.
