Club Rugby Unearthed 004: Conrad Smith

A series throughout the first half of this season celebrating many of the players to have played to a high level who have largely come through club rugby and mostly not played in NZ school or age grade teams along the way.

Centre Conrad Smith will need no introduction, from humble roots as halfback for the Francis Douglas Memorial College First XV to first choice starter for the All Blacks as an outside back in the space of a handful of years.

Smith came through the ranks of club rugby at Old Boys University,  and on to Wellington, Hurricanes and then All Blacks teams, where he developed a strong on field relationship with Ma’a Nonu and won two Rugby World Cups.

Club Rugby Unearthed is in association with our longtime sponsor and partner of the game at the local level Rob Law Max
