UPDATE 2: In a case of last tournament standing, the one sevens tournament tomorrow is the Hurricanes Youth Council's School Sevens tournament, hosted by the Wairarapa Bush Rugby Union (see below for details). The scheduled Hutt Cup Sevens Hand CSW U15 Sevens tournaments (combined on the same bill) have also been cancelled

+++++ Job done and a perfect representative season for the Wellington Maori side. A late change to proceedings saw them only needing to play once in Saturday's Te Tini A Maui tournament, taking on Hawke's Bay Maori for the trophy. A 22-15 win to Te Upoko saw the Hikaia Amohia Trophy

Strap on the afterburners, the sevens season is here. The 2019/20 summer of sevens starts this Saturday at Rongotai College with the inaugural Fa’atonu Fili 7s tournament, hosted by Toki Services. Nine Wellington club squads and a ‘Fa’atonu Fili 7’ team will take the field on Rongotai No. 1 for 24 games
