
Matchday scoring highlights of Saturday’s fourth round Swindale Shield affair between the Upper Hutt Rams and Petone.
The home team the Rams won on a last play try, taking the game 32-29 on their Old Timers’ Day.
The Rams also won the Connolly Cup, their interclub trophy first presented to Petone in 1968.
With a breeze, Petone skipped out to a 12-0 lead early, which grew to 26-15 by halftime. Both sides traded penalties in a tense second half, before the Rams won with two tries in the last few minutes including the match-winner on fulltime.
