Wellington club rugby matchday scoring updates 15 June

It’s week 11 of the 2024 Wellington club rugby season today.

Another round of significant matches being played today as the contenders in the Premier and Premier 2 competitions shuffle for positions on crowded points tables.

We said it in this space last week and we repeat today – something will have to give today. After this round there are just two to play in the first round competitions after this one is in the books.

It is the semi-finals of the Women’s second round competition, with the top tier Tia Paasi Memorial Cup and bottom division Izzy Ford Cup both on the line next weekend.

It’s the fourth week of college rugby, with the First XV Premiership and all other grades in action today. The draw can be found on www.collegerugby.co.nz

Men’s Premier Swindale Shield matches all kick off at 2.15pm, the two Women’s games kick off at 11.00am and the 11th round of Harper Lock Shield goes pop at 12.30pm. Same with the Colts competition.

The early kick-off times are owing to a professional match being played in Wellington later this afternoon.

After a week off, all other grades – Colts, Reserve Grade, U85kgs and Presidents are back in action too.
