Wellington club rugby matchday scoring updates 1 June

Another round of colossal contests today as the contenders in the Premier and Premier 2 competitions shuffle for positions on crowded points tables. Likewise, for some of the battlers, losses today will relegate them to also-ran status for the season as there are just four rounds to play in the first round competitions after this one is in the books.

It is the second weekend of the Women’s second round, with the top four teams now contesting the Tia Paasi Memorial Cup and bottom three the Izzy Ford Cup.

It’s the second week of college rugby, with the First XV Premiership and all other grades in action today.

Men’s Premier Swindale Shield matches kick off at 2.15pm (except for the Avalon v Petone one at the usual time of 2.145pm), while all three Women’s games kick off at 11.00am and all seven Harper Lock games go off at 12.30pm.

The early kick-off times are owing to a professional match being played in Wellington later this afternoon and and no other grades, Colts, Reserve Grade, U85kgs or Presidents, today either, owing to King’s Birthday Weekend.

A cloudy day is forecast, with no rain predcited. Our Draws & Results website above is accurate as of Saturday morning – but always check the site.
