Petone v Tawa Swindale Shield Match Highlights

Petone opened their 2024 Wellington club rugby Premier Swindale Shield season with a five tries to one 37-10 win over Tawa at home on Saturday.

Petone led 13-7 at halftime and 13-10 early in the second half, before pulling away in the second with a three-try burst to extend this to 32-10 before 60 minutes had been played. They added their last try right on fulltime.

Petone also won their first round Colts match – but in wholly more dramatic fashion.

Petone won this 38-36, coming back to win after Tawa had gone ahead 36-19 with about 15 minutes to play.
