And just like that, club rugby has largely come to an end for 2026 with the last five finals played over the weekend just gone.
In Wellington Petone defeated their eternal rivals Hutt Old Boys Marist 18-10 at Porirua Park to claim the Jubilee Cup for the first time since 2005. But what about everywhere else? Here’s a rundown of the winners from each of the other 25 unions:

Northland: Mid-Northern are the champions of the Far North, beating the Western Sharks 43-24 in the final at Semenoff Stadium.

North Harbour: Massey claimed their first title in a while, beating Takapuna 18-16 after the latter upset North Shore the week before.

Auckland: University reclaimed the famed Gallaher Shield with the students defeating Grammar TEC 31-25.

Counties Manukau: Pukekohe ended a title drought with a 24-22 triumph over Ardmore Marist.

Waikato: Cambridge side Hautapu are the Breweries Shield winners, defeating Hamilton Marist 27-24 on their field to claim the title.

Bay of Plenty: Greerton Marist made no race of the final, winning 37-10 against Te Puke who had tipped over Tauranga Sports in the semi-final.

Thames Valley: Waihi are champions in Swamp Fox country, edging out Thames 20-19.

East Coast: Tokararangi took home the title in in the far east, defeating Uawa 32-21 at Whakarua Park.

Poverty Bay: A one-point win for YMP in the decider at Gisborne’s Rugby Park, beating High School Old Boys 17-16.

Hawke’s Bay: Taradale repeated as Maddison Trophy champions, overrunning Napier Old Boys Marist by 54-24 on McLean Park.

King Country: Taupo Marist were the winners in an all-lakeside final with a 36-12 win over local rivals Taupo Sports.

Taranaki: Clifton completed an unbeaten season in Amber-and-Black land, defeating Coastal 40-24 at Stadium Taranaki.

Whanganui: Marist might have been outscored one try to three, but accurate goal-kicking was the difference as they beat Counties 16-15 at Cooks Gardens.

Manawatu: Kia Toa reclaimed the Hankins Shield, trampling all over defending champions Varsity with a 59-27 win in their final on the main ground at Arena Manawatu.

Horowhenua-Kapiti: Foxton repeated as champions at the Levin Domain, but they were pushed all the way by Paraparaumu before winning 29-24.

Wairarapa-Bush: One of two title-deciders to go to extra-time, Greytown repeated as champions in their 150th season by beating rivals Carterton 32-29.

Wellington – Petone did the first round-second double and won their first Jubilee Cup since 2005 with a 18-10 win over cross river rivals Hutt Old Boys Marist.

Tasman: Nelson Marist took home the Tasman Trophy in their final at Trafalgar Park, beating city rivals Nelson (the pair’s clubrooms are only 100m apart) 31-22.

Buller: White Star are once again champions, after they defeated neighbours Westport 19-15 in their final.

West Coast: Kiwi were the winners in their final at John Sturgeon Park, being Wests 33-17 in a reverse of last years decider.

Canterbury Metro: The very final of the year saw Marist Albion edge out top qualifiers Linwood 29-27 under the One NZ Stadium roof on Sunday afternoon.

Mid-Canterbury: Rakaia reclaimed the title, but there was just a single point in it as they were 27-26 winners over Metheven.

South Canterbury: The longest final anywhere was in Timaru, where it took 104 minutes and Golden Point for Harlequins to beat Temuka 24-19 and win the Hammersley Shield.

North Otago: Valley took the Citizens Shield back from Excelsior.
________________________________________________________________________
Otago Metro: The Harbour Hawks came from fourth in Dunedin to win, beating Kaikorai 41-35 at Forsyth Bar Stadium.

Southland: And finally, the Eastern-Northern Barbarians claimed the Galbraith Shield, beating Pirates-Old Boys 40-28 to be champions of the deep south.
