Matchday Scoring Highlights: Oriental-Rongotai (49) v Johnsonville (17)

Oriental-Rongotai stormed Helston Park for a seven tries to three win in their fifth round fixture on Saturday, which was for the Ash Pointon Cup.

Ories scored seven tries – all converted by fullback Jordan Soli – and led 28-5 at halftime. Soli also scored a hat-trick of tries, whilst centre Daniel Tafili scored one and was directly involved in at least two more. Loose forwards Sione Halalilo, David Leota-Johnson and Mosese Bason were an all-action trio for the visitors.

Ories move on to host Wainuiomata at the Polo Ground in the sixth round set of matches, whilst Johnsonville are on the road to play Avalon at Fraser Park.
