Week Three of Pre-season rugby as Horowhenua-Kapiti kicks off

It’s week three of four of pre-season rugby in Wellington, with a number of games and venues in action tomorrow around the region and further afield with a couple of road and boat trips being undertaken by clubs.

It is the final week of pre-season rugby for Manawatu clubs ahead of the opening round of the Hankins Shield next weekend, while it is kick-off in the Ramsbotham Cup in Horowhenua-Kapiti with all three games down on the coast tomorrow.

In other Hurricanes region competitions, Hawke’s Bay’s Nash Cup also kicks off tomorrow, whilst Wairarapa-Bush starts on Easter Saturday alongside Wellington.

A look at many of tomorrow’s games being played tomorrow is below (as always this is not the final list, there could be amendments and additional games not listed here).

The rugby starts this evening  at 5.30pm down at Boyd Wilson Park in Kelburn with the annual pre-season fixture between the Wellington College First XV and squad and OBU Colts squad. This is for the Letica Cup after 1960s Wellington College player and later Junior All Black Steve Letica who passed away young with leukaemia.
