Club Rugby pre-season matches on 14 March

Above: Liki Siliga and Northern United are playing their second pre-season match tomorrow over the hill at Wainuiomata, who are playing their first, whilst Marist St Pat’s host Petone in three matches at Evans Bay Park.

It is the second weekend of pre-season and several more clubs are in action tomorrow, whilst several more are at their home bases in internal camps and matches.

There is electricity in the air, with the WRFU’s release this week of the remaining draws that confirm all grades are in competition mode from 11 April. Elsewhere, the Manawatu Senior 1 competition kicks off on 28 February so their clubs are in full preparation mode.

A look at matches below at a glance are (note these are only games we know about, there could be others coming to a park near you):

  • Feilding Yellows v Paremata-Plimmerton, Johnston Park, 12.30pm
  • Wainuiomata v Northern United, Mary Crowther Park, 12.00pm
