Notes

The Jubilee Cup holder has won 11 rematches, the runner-up seven.

In the 2005 Norths v Poneke rematch, Rob Aloe was a star for Norths with 19 points, including two tries. Aloe scored three tries in the 42-27 victory over Petone in 2006. Peato Lafaele scored 22 points for Norths, and Sam Rasch 17 for Petone.

Serge Lilo (45 games for Wellington) scored twice for Norths in their 30-14 win over Poenke in 2007. Aloe bagged another try for Norths. Aloe played Heartland Rugby for Buller and Horowhenua Kapiti.

Four penalties by MSP’s Fa’atonu Fili canceled out a Simon Malaeulu try in 2008.  Fili and Malaeulu are double centurions of their respective clubs.

Norths were sensational in their 2010 rematch with MSP with Buxton Popoalii (3), Faifili Levave (2), and Mana Faraimo (2) tries having a field day at Porirua Park.

Two tries by fullback Simon Tevita gave Ories a narrow win over Norths in 2012.

Future All Blacks centre Matt Procter scored a hat-trick in 2013 to deny Ories revenge from the wet and spiteful 2012 Jubilee Cup final.

Hutt Old Boys Marist beat Wainuiomata 14-11 in the 2014 Jubilee Cup final and captured the Swindale Shield the following season in a run of 19 wins in 20 matches. In the 2015 Jubilee Cup, the Eagles bombed, missing the semis, including a 15-18 loss to Wainuiomata. Loose forward Teru Time was on the wing and scored a try along with Fa’atau Mamea.

In 2018 Tongan halfback and BillyGoats centurion Tomasi Palu scored four tries as OBU rallied from a halftime deficit to overpower the Eagles.

In 2019 Wellington Sevens gun Esi Komaisavai scored half the points by Norths in a 30-25 ‘revenge’ win over Old Boys University.

Norths destroyed Wainauiomata 66-0 in 2020 and were held scoreless by OBU the following season. In the 2020 rematch, Sam Clarke scored 26 points and Losi Filipo, Johnny Teleaga, and Luca Ress two tries each.

In 2023 Norths were no match for a hungry Petone in their rematch. TJ Clarke (brother of Sam) scored 14 points, including two tries for Petone. Lock Jordan Sului also dotted down twice for the Villagers.
