It is week four of the second round of the 2023 Wellington club rugby season.

The fourth round of the Premier top 8 Jubilee Cup and bottom tier Hardham Cup competitions sees all both Finals played at the Hutt Rec. Petone and Marist St Pat’s meet in the Hardham Cup final at 12.30pm and Paremata-Plimmerton and Oriental-Rongotai contest the Jubilee Cup final at 2.45pm.

Both finals are being broadcast on the airwaves.The E Tu Whanau Footy Show is on air from 12.00pm. Tune in at 87.6FM in the city or 1161AM throughout the district and on the app Wharekōrero.

The winners get the glory, the losers come back next year to try and go one better. Those other 10 teams not involved in the finals are building sandcastles at the beach today.

The Colts competition resumes with semi-final action in the John E. Kelly Memorial Cup (Division 1) and Vic Cacinai Memorial Cup (Division 2) competition.

Update: One of the Colts Division 1 semi-finals was played on Friday night (we apologise for not knowing this previously). This saw Tawa beat Ories 17-14 under lights. Tawa will play the winner of the HOBM v OBU semi-final played today in next week’s top tier U21 grade final.

The fourth week of the Premier 2 Ed Chaney Cup nd HD Morgan Memorial competitions is today.

These are Final matches and follow the same format as the Premier Jubilee and Hardham Cups (as covered above).

Ories and Stokes Valley meet at the Hutt Rec at 12.oopm on Hutt Rec 2 in the HD Morgan Memorial and Tawa and Poneke clash in the Ed Chaney Cup at 2.15pm.
