Paremata-Plimmerton win inaugural Feilding Blitz 7s

Wellington club Paremata-Plimmerton won the inaugural Rosebowl Blitz 7s tournament on Saturday.

Paremata-Plimmerton beat Whanganui’s FullSend in the final in the tournament that was played in blustery but fine conditions at Johnston Park on Saturday.

The tournament was well run by the Feilding Yellows club and the competition was well-contested with the rugby trumping the conditions, the nearby croquet in the morning, the all-day dressage and the distant motor racing and blowing everything else away in the end.

A change to the draw early in the morning saw a full round-robin leading to a straight final at the conclusion of the day.
