
Club Rugby has a growing collection of tries in our video content folders going back almost a decade that are tagged to individuals and matches.
A new occasional series starts below recapping many of these tries.
What better place to start this off by highlighting some outside backs tries that we have captured in this time in club, college and representative rugby. The first five of these, in no particular order are below.

1. Avalon Wolves wing Anzac Masua makes the break and finishes a runaway try for Avalon in their sixth round 43-17 win over Paremata-Plimmerton in 2021. This was his debut on the left wing for Avalon and he scored a hat-trick.

2 .Ambrose Curtis collects the kick on the fly and runs clear to score this try in the 30-30 Anzac Day draw for the Jimmy Grbich Shield for Oriental-Rongotai against Pōneke in 2017.

3. Tawa’s Pepesana Patafilo sprints clear to score this try for his side against Norths at Porirua Park in 2017 in their 26-13 Sammy Saili Memorial Trophy win. This was a last round match, with Tawa going on to win the Jubilee Cup and Norths Hardham Cup bound after this defeat.

4. Oriental-Rongotai wing Ayesha Leti-L’iga is on the cusp of scoring a remarkable 200 club rugby tries as we publish this, so here is one of her many tries below. This one for Ories in a 51-19 win over Petone in 2018.

5. Tawa wing Randall Bishop pounces on an error and doesn’t need a second look at the tryline as he sprints away, in their 29-18 semi-final win over Hutt Old Boys Marist at the Hutt Rec in 2021. Bishop’s side returned there the next week to beat Marist St Pat’s 36-7 in the final.
