Representative
In the Hurricanes U18s competition, there is just one match in Wellington tomorrow, with first round winners the Wellington Centurions U18s and the Hawke’s Bay U18s meeting at Lyndhurst Park at 1.00pm.
The Junior Magpies and the young Centurions side both had bonus point wins last week over the Wellington Samoans U18s and Poverty Bay U18s, so a win for either in this clash could go a long way towards silverware success in the three-week competition.
Those two vanquished sides from last week, the Samoans U18s and the Poverty Bay U18s meet on neutral territory at Bill Brown Park at 11.30am.
The first of the other two games of tomorrow’s second round sees the Horowhenua-Kapiti U18s and the Wellington Māori U18s meet at Playford Park, Levin at 1.00pm. Horowhenua-Kapiti were first week losers to Wairarapa-Bush, while Wellington Māori beat Whanganui.
The final match of the weekend is between Whanganui and Wairarapa-Bush at Whanganui.
In other represeantive fixtures tomorrow, the Wellington Girls U18s play the Wellington Girls U16s at Lyndhurst Park at 2.30pm and the Wellington U16 B side meets the Horowhenua-Kapiti B team at Hataitai Park at 1.00pm. The Hurricanes U16s tournament starts next week.
In one away fixture, the Wellington Centurions Development side travels to Christchurch to take on Canterbury B at Christchurch Football Club and 2.00pm.

U85kg
It is quarter-finals weekend of the National Knockout Cup U85kg competition.
There are two Wellington teams still alive, and both play at home tomorrow in consecutive fixtures at Evans Bay Park.
First up at 12.30pm are the OBU Scallywags against defending champions High School Old Boys from Christchurch.
Following their fixture, the Poneke Wanderers take the field at 2.15pm to take on the Pakuranga Black Panthers at 2.15pm.
In the other two last eight matches tomorrow, the Auckland University play Christchurch’s Linwood and Waikato’s Morrinsville and Counties Manukau’s Karaka square off. Semi-finals are next weekend, and the final is the ‘curtain-raiser’ to the All Blacks v Wallabies test in Wellington on 28 September.
Up the road at Hataitai Park there are also two one-off U85kg matches between Wellington City and Hutt Valley U85g teams.
The first of these games is at 11.00am and is a City-Hutt U85kg clash and the second kicks off at 2.30pm between the City-Hutt U85kg club teams.
Next weekend, a Wellington U85kg represeantive team is set to meet the North Harbour U85kgs at the midpoint venue of Taumarunui Rugby and Sports Club.
